Day 56: National Chocolate Covered Peanuts Day

Today, I am enjoying a little snack of chocolate covered peanuts. I like the combination, but prefer almonds or pecans in place of peanuts if I had the choice. These are not really calorie friendly when you look at the serving size. One serving, or about 28 pieces is 170 calories. Here is where I am encouraging you to invest in a kitchen scale. Next to the serving size, it will give you the amount in grams or ounces. So I weighed out 30 grams of chocolate covered peanuts and I only got 17. So if I had eaten a total of 28 peanuts, I would have eaten more than a serving. Measuring according to weight is always the best method when figuring serving size.
