Today is National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day. I love chocolate and I love fresh cherries, but that nasty "way too sweet" cream that they add to the combination is what brings this sweet to the bottom of my list. My sweet husband, Thomas, loves them and he gets a box of these in his stocking every Christmas. So luckily, he still has some left and I ate one to celebrate the day. I would rather have enjoyed that 75 calories on something I actually enjoyed. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.
I am spending today with my kids on their last day of Christmas vacation. Just gonna hang out and enjoy each other's company. Looking forward to getting them back in school and into our normal routine.
You might want to try the Cella chocolate covered cherries next year. They have a liquid center and are WAY better than the cream filled type. Here is a link with more info:
